Programme: 3months (2009)
Principal Contractor: Basement Building Co. Ltd
Role: CDM Co-ordinator (at previous employer)
Trinity Quays is a new development proposed for the site of the former John Good & Sons Ltd office building on High Street adjacent to Myton Bridge. The development is intended to provide new quality residential living and a 4-Star Hotel in the heart of the city which will bring life and activity back to the area which has been derelict for several years.
In order to prepare the site for construction of the development the existing buildings occupying the site needed to be demolished. The site is bounded on three sides by main roads and the River Hull. After giving the construction and structural properties some detailed analysis, careful demolition of the buildings commenced from the middle outwards to limit the inconvenience to the public and to prevent any disproportionate collapse.
